It's a...Wendy - Have you heard of Golden Syrup? It's a thickened simple syrup that you can use in the place of corn syrup. It's still processed sugar, though. I've read that you can make your own Golden Syrup with 1C sugar and 1/4 C water and then cook it until it's thick, but that seems like a lot of work. I think Molasses could be a substitute if you chose a filling flavor that complimented the richness of molasses... Diane, I hope he tries it out!
